Who we are, what we do, how we are organised and who answers for what.
A company that writes software and takes it where it is needed
PetaBit S.r.l. is an Italian IT consulting and software development company, incorporated in February 2023. We design and develop Trantor®, a product ecosystem for on-premise infrastructure born in 2018, which we hold the exclusive license for and whose whole cycle we look after: from the code to the supply, from installation in customer datacenters to training and support.
Alongside the products we work to order: analysis, custom software and integrations for organisations that need something that does not exist yet. The people who write the software are the same ones who then install it and keep it running, which is why there is no ping-pong when something goes wrong.
Our counterparts are public administrations, defence, healthcare and large enterprises: environments where jurisdiction, control and documented accountability matter. The registered and main operating office is in Rome; since May 2026 a second operating office is in Agropoli (SA), the first step towards the production site we want to open in the Cilento area.
From the code to acceptance
Five activities, a single point of contact: what we design and write is what we supply, install and keep running.
Design, development and ongoing evolution of the Trantor ecosystem products: virtualization and containers, software-defined storage, workspace, secure WiFi, authentication and MFA, encrypted QR codes. Roadmap, fixes and new releases are born here.
Use licenses, renewals and support levels from Bronze to Platinum for all Trantor products: TVirt, TVStor, VDesk, SecureWiFi, QRcode and Imago. A single commercial contact who points you to our network of commercial partners and resellers.
Design, installation and configuration in your datacenters: from the virtualization cluster to the complete SOC, on-site or remote, with documented acceptance.
Helpdesk with contractual SLAs, updates and maintenance, team training on-site or remote, official certification paths TCTA, TCTE, TCVA and TCSA.
IT consulting and bespoke development: requirements analysis, custom software and integration with the systems already in place, on top of the Trantor platform or alongside it. Done by the same team that writes the products.
How we are organised
Administration
The Company has a sole shareholder and director, Luca Polito, who holds its legal representation and is responsible for ordinary and extraordinary management.
Model supervision
PetaBit has no external Supervisory Body: as allowed for small entities (art. 6, par. 4 of Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001), supervision is carried out directly by the director. Confidential reports go through the whistleblowing channel.
