From the code to the machine room
PetaBit S.r.l. is an Italian IT consulting and software development company, founded in Rome in 2023. We design and develop Trantor®, a product ecosystem for on-premise infrastructure created in 2018 and licensed exclusively to us, and we follow it all the way: supply, installation in customer datacenters, training and support. When something does not exist yet, we build it to order.
We work with public administrations, defence, healthcare and large enterprises: environments where jurisdiction, control and clear accountability matter. We are based in Rome, with an operating office in Agropoli, in the Cilento area.

Trantor, the ecosystem we develop
Trantor® is the commercial name of the product ecosystem designed and developed in Italy by PetaBit, which holds its exclusive license: virtualization and containers, software-defined storage, digital workspace, secure WiFi, authentication and MFA, encrypted QR codes, HPC and turnkey SOC.
Development, supply, integration and support all live here: a single point of contact for the whole life cycle of the platform, with no ping-pong between whoever wrote the software and whoever installs it.
From the desk to the factory
Trantor products are entering ever larger organisations: public administrations, defence, healthcare and companies replacing parts of their overseas infrastructure with a platform designed and maintained in Italy. Every adoption raises the bar on continuity, delivery times and supply chain control.
That is why the next step is manufacturing: a production site in the Cilento area where supercomputers are assembled and tested, and a datacenter of our own built next to the production line. Factory and datacenter in the same place mean testing systems in real operation before they ship, keeping integration skills in house, and shortening a supply chain that has to stay under our own jurisdiction.
