The Agropoli operating office opens

PetaBit is opening a secondary operating office in Via Piave 52, 84043 Agropoli (SA), Italy, alongside the registered and main operating office in Rome.

The new location works as a base for projects and customers in central and southern Italy: it shortens response times where travelling from Rome weighs, and gives the team a second stable workplace for activities that do not require being inside a datacenter.

Why the Cilento area

The opening is the first step of a wider plan: a production site in the Cilento area, where supercomputers will be assembled and tested, and a datacenter of our own, built next to the production line.

Having the factory and the datacenter in the same place means being able to run systems in real operation before they leave for the customer, keeping integration skills in house, and shortening the supply chain of a platform designed to be sovereign. A permanent presence in Agropoli is there to prepare that step: relationships with the local area, the search for suitable spaces, and building the team that will work there.
